Resources for the Entertainment Industry

Rate group 962 defined by the WSIB is advertising and entertainment, which is a broad category that include and is not limited to film and television, live performance, museums, galleries, and other attractions. The Ministry of Labour and the industry’s Health and Safety committees have collaborated to produce these guidelines for safety that are unique to the entertainment business.

The guidelines below recommend practical measures for recognizing, assessing and controlling hazards that are common to this industry. They aim to inform every worker, in all disciplines, at all levels, in the significance of hazard identification and safe working practices. Education is the foundation of any health and safety program, with knowledgeable performers, support staff and management working together.
