OSSA's Health & Safety Awareness workshops are designed to provide employers, supervisors, HR professionals, health & safety representatives and JHSC members with the information and skills needed to uphold your legal obligations under the Act and create an effective health & safety program in the workplace. These modules are designed to support our Workwell Program or they can be delivered as awareness seminars to larger audiences.
Each workshop provides an engaging combination of activities, such as lecture, large group discussion, case study analysis and action planning in both a small group format and through individual exercises.

Do you need to develop an MSD prevention program?
Has your workforce had MSD injuries, or is at high risk for MSD injuries?
Have you received an MOL order to develop an MSD prevention program?
This highly interactive, half-day introduces participants to MSD prevention, addresses the reasons for dealing with MSDs andthe impact an MSD injury can have on an employee. Participants learn what MSDs are and then walk through the steps of establishing a health and safety culture, recognizing, assessing and controlling MSD hazards, and finally evaluating and communicating the success of their controls. This training is aimed at owners or managers who are developing or implementing an MSD prevention program.
Participants also receive a CD with a 1-hour MSD training session for employees to take back to their workplace. The session allows space workplace-specific policies and controls.
